During the last ten years rubber stamping has grown into a huge hobby with hundreds of thousands of people around the world. While rubber stamps are available in any craft shop, the Stampin’ Up brand name has become the elite name in the industry.
Thousands of buyers are looking for Stampin’ Up stamp set on eBay every week. At the same time, you can frequent find sets available at garage sales which makes it an attractive ebay niche if you haunt garage sales looking for eBay inventory.
Stampin’ Up sells their rubber stamping sets and supplies through demonstrators who conduct home parties and their sets aren’t cheap. This means the sets you find at garage sales are often priced pretty high also, often $10 to $20 per set.
At those kind of prices, the majority of the sets you find at garage sales won’t allow much profit when sold on eBay. However, there are some sets that can bring you some nice profits if you know what sets to look for.
Below is a list of some Stampin’ Up rubber stamp sets that regularly bring $50 or more (sometimes going into three figures) on eBay. The list contains the name of the set which can usually be found on the plastic clamshell case the come in along with the number of stamps originally included in each set.

Well if you have a set or 2 of these, how do you know what to ask for them?
Thanks,
Jean

Hi Jean,
If you have some of the sets listed in this post, eBay would probably offer your best chance of getting the maximum return possible simply because of the huge potentential buyer base.
As for asking price, if it was me, I’d put them on eBay in auction format and start them at $9.99 and let them find their own final price. If you prefered to use a fixed Buy-It-Now price, I would suggest you do a closed auction search, get an idea of what the set has sold for in the last month or so, and set your BIN price at within 15% higher or lower than the auction format prices.
Good luck with them,
Gary
