If you read yesterday’s post The Carnival Of eBay Sellers #7, you know that The Auction Rebel will be hosting the Carnival for the month of January.

To encourage participation by both bloggers and readers, at the end of the month, I will give away four copies of my new Profiting From Garage Sales ebook which will be available sometime during the second week of February. The book will sell for a price of $47.00.

Two copies of the book will be given to people who submit blog posts for inclusion in the Carnival Of eBay Sellers during January and two copies will go to readers of the Carnival. To qualify for one of the gifts as a blogger or reader you must comply with the appropriate set of rules below.

Rules For Bloggers

1. You must submit a post from your blog for inclusion in one of the January Carnivals (see schedule below).

2. Your post must relate to the Carnival topic for the week it is submitted for and it must be something that readers can learn from. Submissions that I consider to be nothing more than a lead in to an affiliate link or your own product will not qualify for one of the gifts. From there how you approach each topic is up to you.

3. Your post must be one which was written/posted in the week previous to it’s submission to the Carnival. Posts older than one week will be included in the Carnival but will not qualify for one of the gifts.

4. While you are welcome to submit multiple posts each week, only one post per week will qualify for one of the gifts.

5. Your post must be submitted through the Carnival’s official submission form to qualify for one of the gifts.

Rules For Readers

1. The Carnival provides an opportunity to read different viewpoints and ideas about each scheduled topic. You should take part in the Carnival by visiting and reading submissions you find interesting each week.

2. Leave a comment to at least one of the articles you read each week. Your comment should be one that shows you have read the post and that, hopefully, will evoke an exchange of ideas by other readers. A comment such as “Great Idea” or “Good Thinking” will not qualify for one of the gifts. Leave comments to as many submissions as you want, but only one comment per week will qualify for one of the gifts.

3. Comments to Carnival related posts by The Auction Rebel do not qualify. Your comment must be on the blog of one of the other submitters’ blogs to qualify.

4. After leaving a comment, use the form on the Contact Gary page to let me know you have left a qualifying comment. Include your name along with the name both the blog and the post title you commented on.

The Gifts

Recipients of the four copies of the ebook will be chosen on February 3, 2007. That should be enough time for people to read the January 30, 2007 Carnival and submit their comments. Throughout the month, each qualifying submission or comment will get you name on a piece of paper. On February 3rd, the names of qualifying bloggers will go into one box and the names of qualifying readers will go into another.

My significant other will then randomly draw two names from each box and their names will be posted on The Auction Rebel. The following week, when the book is released, winners will receive their copies.
