The Carnival Of eBay Sellers continues with issue number 11. This morning I received an email with issue 11 in it from Tom along with a note saying he was out of the country, causing a slight delay in getting everything put together. This is good news, because I would like to see the Carnival continue and grow. Readers can find a lot of useful information inside each week.
It may also be good news for two lucky Carnival readers because the two unclaimed free copies of “Profiting From Garage Sales” are now back up for grabs. If you are reading this and would like a chance to win one of these, simply review the rules, take part, and your name will be in the hat for the drawing which will take place on February 5th.
This week’s Carnival had the topic “Should you become a Trading Assistant?“. Unfortunately we had only 2 submissions which you will find below.
Remember that this is the last week for The Auction Rebel to host the Carnival of eBay Sellers. Next month the Carnival will be hosted by Ty Tribble of ebay.business-opportunities. If you are interested in hosting in March, let him know! The Carnival is an excellent way to increase the readership of your Blog … (I can attest to that) and through your blog you should also be increasing you eBay sales. If you are wondering how, have a look at my article on “Building an eBay Blog“
So here we go with this week’s 2 submissions:
Gary Hendrickson presents
Should you become a eBay Trading Assistant posted at
The Auction Rebel, saying, “(Becoming an eBay trading assistant can be a good way to increase your income from eBay.”
Ion Zwitter presents
Priest Caught Selling Absolution on eBay posted at
Avant News, saying, “eBay has announced that souls, consciences, egos, “mojo” and other intangible merchandise will no longer be permissible for auction on the site, due to frequent buyer complaints of non-delivery.”
We did our usual surfing and found the following interesting links for your review:
In one of his recent articles. Skip McGrath says You cannot sell successfully on eBay if you cannot write a great auction title.. Worth a read by our Carnival readers
James Maguire at ecommerce-guide.com has an article on Choosing Auction Management Software. It’s an April 2006 article, but still valid with some interesting discoveries.
Marty Weil at ephemera.com recently interviewed Alphabetic Philatelic Collector Bill Senkus. Wonder what Alphabetic Collecting is.. read Marty’s article.
Are you “organizationally challenged”? If so, you aren’t alone. Greg Holden reviews a new tool from Microsoft to see if it can help him keep track of his financial record-keeping while helping him list inventory on eBay. You may be surprised at his findings. Read his article at Ina Steiner’s AuctionBytes.
Want to make a mint on eBay? Brad Schepp thinks you do. Here are his 10 Best Resources for eBay Sellers, based on our years of experience writing books and articles about eBay. They’re in no particular order.
If you are an eBay Trading Assistant… be careful of what you are given to list. This article in the Poughkeepsie Journal reports on a number of “eBay sales traced to thefts”
Selling on eBay – First Steps to begin your Home Business is an article by Lisa Schalinski at BestSyndication.com
And if you have ever heard of phishing, you’ll want to read this article, entitled “Ebay suffers new phishing scam” posted at Net4Now.com
OK, THAT’S IT FOR THIS WEEK - BUT REMEMBER, THE CARNIVAL WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY
February we will have a new editor.. and we commend Gary Hendrickson, The Auction Rebel for an outstanding job in the month of January. As noted last week, we will no longer have a “recommended topic” - you are free to submit any article you wish, as long as it is in the general area of eBay selling. Also, if YOU are interested in hosting the March issues, please send Tom an email.
Here then is the February schedule.
