Rich Dad Poor Dad On eBay

Write a book about self-improvement or how to make money and you stand a good chance of having a best seller on your hands. These days, no one knows that better than Robert Kiyosaki. He’s developed almost a cult following and his first book, “Rich Dad Poor Dad became an instant best-seller and has allowed him to build a “how to get rich” empire.

I have no idea how many of his fans have actually followed his advice and made money, but his books present an opportunity for you to make some nice profits on eBay.

Earlier this evening I had a listing of 13 Rich Dad Poor Dad books end at $172.50 with 20 bidders and 20 people watching the auction. You can also get an idea of what smaller lots will bring by taking a look at eBay’s closed auctions.

The Rich Dad Poor Dad series is made up of two different parts - books written by Kiyosaki himself and those written by other authors but still part of the series.

I may be missing a title or two, but as near as I can tell, here are the titles in the series.

Books written by Robert Kiyosaki:

  • Rich Dad Poor Dad
  • Cashflow Quadrant: Rich Dad’s Guide to Financial Freedom
  • Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing
  • Retire Young, Retire Rich
  • Who Took My Money
  • Success Stories
  • Rich Kid, Smart Kid
  • If you want to be Rich & Happy don’t go to School
  • Rich Dad’s The Business School
  • Rich Dad, Poor Dad for Teens
  • Before You Quit Your Job
  • Rich Dad’s Prophecy
  • Why We Want You To Be Rich (coauthored by Donald Trump)

Rich Dad Poor Dad Advisor Series (written by others)

  • How to Buy and Sell a Business
  • Protecting Your #1 Asset
  • Real Estate Riches
  • Sales Dogs
  • Loopholes of the Rich
  • Real Estate Loopholes
  • Rich Dad’s Real Estate Advantages
  • Own Your Own Corporation

There may be other books that I’m not aware of. If you know of one that’s not on the list, let us know about it using the comment feature at the bottom of this post.

While the Rich Dad Poor Dad series of books don’t normally do very well individually, listing several books from the series at once as a lot, can be pretty lucrative. These books can often be found at garage sales and thrift shops for $1.00 or less apiece. They are worth picking up when you come across them and holding them until you have a group of 7-8 or more different titles. Once you do, they should do very nicely on eBay.

Robert Kiyosaki also markets two Rich Dad Poor Dad boardgames - Cashflow 101 and Cashflow 102. While you aren’t as likely to come across one of these, if you do, grab it. They regularly sell for $50 to $75 or more on ebay.

Most of Robert Kiyosaki’s books have also be produced as audio books on CDs. These are also worth picking up when you run across them.

A couple more off the top of my head…

While it’s not actually part of the “rich dad” series, Kiyosaki wrote a book before RDPD called “If you want to be rich and happy, don’t go to school” or something like that.

Again, not part of the series but anyone who has the rich dad collection wants this book too.

    About the Cashflow games…

Anyone who wants to understand how to get ahead financially and understand what it takes to leave the “rat race” should play this game.

This includes the game not mentioned above - “Cashflow for Kids”

I highly recommend it for parents of young children.

I got mine at a thrift store for $2.99 but I would gladly pay $149 for it if I had to.
