The boycott eBay discussion - I’ve intentionally not written about this previously because, personally, I feel this is mostly a case of a very small number of recreational sellers who have managed to attract a considerable amount of media attention. I do have two comments however.
First, I was going to write about this yesterday when the thread was 234 pages long. This morning when I looked, it was only 202 pages long. Apparently they have gotten under the skin of someone at eBay enough to cause them to delete more than 30 pages of posts.
Second, and more importantly, these people have created at least 234 pages of almost entirely negative posts with many sellers posting multiple times. Just think what they could have done if they had spent all that time and energy creating positive solutions to a sellers question about something like ‘how to take great photos for an eBay listing.’ They would have created a 234 page resource that would have been valuable to anyone selling on eBay. SAD!
In Foolish Forum Fragments, the eBayMinx pokes a little fun at some of the boycotters and says in part ..
“What gets me more than the sheer idiocy of these comments, is the anger and contempt for both eBay and buyers. Why would someone so angry continue to sell on eBay?“
