Earlier this afternoon eBay released their 1st quarter earning report for 2008. For the fun of it I thought it would be interesting to do some digging and post the 1st quarter stats for The Auction Rebel.

One thing quickly became clear. eBay certainly doesn’t need to worry that the blog is going to replace them in either earnings or popularity any time soon.

So without further ado, here the The Auction Rebel’s stats for the 1st quarter of 2008.

Visits - 15,517 (made up of 10,592 new visitors and 4,925 returning visitors)
Page Views - 42.357
Pages Viewed Per Visit - 2.73
Time Spent Per Visit - 2:56
RSS Subscribers As Of 3/31/08 - 309
Alexa Ranking - 549.582
Google Page Rank - 4
Visitor Location - The blog was viewed by visitors from 68 different countries. 12,688 were from the United States, followed by 978 from Canada
How They Found The Blog

  • Search Engines - 7,533 (48.55%)
  • Referrals - 5,100 (32.87%)
  • Direct - 2874 (18.52%)
  • Other - 10 (0.06%)

Returning Visitors - 31.87% of the uniques visitors returned for at least one additional visit

How did The Auction Rebel do versus eBay dollar wise?

According to eBay’s press release they had a net income of $562,000,000 for the quarter. The blog produced a net income of $225 for the same period of time. There probably won’t be any buyout looming on the horizon.
