Two weeks ago, when eBay killed eBay Marketplace Research, I took advantage of Terapeak’s special discount and subscribed to Terapeak Marketplace Research for one year.

After using it for only two weeks, I’m convinced I should have switched to Terapeak a long time ago.

A lot of the research I do starts with very generic keywords, or categories, and then digging deeper into more targeted items. In many cases this was hard to do with eBay’s research tool because it wasn’t able to handle searches that included a large number of items.

If I started with the keyword “magazine” for example, as long as I only searched the previous two weeks eBay Research worked fine. However, if I extended the search to one month, two months, or three months, eBay wasn’t able to process the number of returns available.

Every time I tried all I’d get was an error message telling me the information couldn’t be retrieved. With Terapeak Marketplace Research I can do the same search for the previous three months and the results are returned to me in less than 45 seconds.

Not only can Terapeak Marketplace Research handle these generic searches without any problems, but the results are presented already sorted highest price first. With eBay, when I tried to sort from highest price to lowest price, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t.

Terapeak offers a lot of other features that, because of the kind of research I do, I’ll likely never use. If I wished, I could research other sellers, individual eBay categories, products that are already hot sellers, seasonal and holiday trends, and much more.

I would highly recommend Terapeak Marketplace Research to anyone needing a fast reliable tool to conduct research associated with their eBay business.
